Introducing Ally in Practice: A New Enablement Series
We are thrilled to announce the launch of Ally in Practice, a new virtual enablement series that I'll be hosting to help instructors, faculty, and administrators get the most out of Blackboard Ally.
Each one-hour session will focus on practical strategies, real-world examples, and role-specific guidance designed to help participants solve challenges, answer questions, and put Ally into practice in meaningful ways. Sessions are tailored to specific audiences and will cover a variety of topics, including writing effective alt text with the support of Ally's AI Alt Text Assistant (faculty and instructors), understanding and interpreting Ally's Institutional Report (administrators), and setting accessibility goals that support broader institutional strategy (administrators).
To make the series accessible to participants across a variety of time zones, each session will be offered at two live times. All sessions will be recorded, making it easy to join live or watch on demand through the Blackboard Community.
Our First Session: Prioritizing Accessibility Improvements for Instructors
Knowing where to start is often one of the biggest challenges when improving course accessibility. Our first session, Ally in Practice: Prioritizing Accessibility Improvements for Instructors, will explore how Ally's accessibility indicators, feedback, and Course Accessibility Report can help instructors identify and prioritize improvements that have the greatest impact on learners.
Target Audience: open to all, but particularly valuable for instructors who are new to Ally, those looking for a refresher on Ally's core features, and experienced Ally users seeking new strategies for prioritizing accessibility improvements and remediation efforts.
