Fix Your Content Day 2024: Making a Positive Impact on Inclusive Learning Around the Globe
Published
Institutions worldwide are constantly looking to increase student success and drive the best possible outcomes for their learners. More inclusive learning environments contribute to this goal in a big way by empowering all students to access digital content in a way that works best for them.
To support education institutions in their efforts around accessibility and inclusion, this year Anthology is bringing back its 24-hour global competition Fix Your Content Day (FYCD). On October 3, participant institutions are challenged to make as many “fixes” as possible to course files and improve their accessibility using Anthology® Ally.
For the past five years, many institutions have used this challenge to raise awareness among instructors about the importance of digital accessibility and to promote the use of Anthology Ally on campus. “We treasure our commitment to helping institutions along their accessibility and inclusion journey, hosting different initiatives like Global Accessibility Awareness Month (GAAM) last May and, once again, Fix Your Content Day in October,” said Carisa Stringer, vice president of product marketing at Anthology. “Our FYCD has been a great event that has grown into a global movement, now led by institutional accessibility leaders who understand the imperative of making digital content more accessible.”
Last year, more than 85 colleges and universities around the world participated, impacting as many as 1,289,495 students currently studying at those institutions with 89,937 total fixes made to improve the accessibility of digital content.
