A Big Thank You to Our Anthology Engage Clients

Published
Anyone who works in marketing knows how much effort is put into chasing success stories. We seek out client quotes, case studies, references, and more. It’s a huge investment, and it’s extremely rare that clients come to YOU. Well, not only did our Anthology® Engage clients come to us, they came with signs, cheering so loudly that passersby peeked in to see what the fuss was about. We are so honored, and we wanted to share the story.

Anthology Engage Clients

Anthology Engage has been a trusted partner of student affairs offices since 2004. Founded with the student voice at the center of our mission, we have assembled a team of incredible former student affairs professionals. Nearly 20 years later, our Engage team, now led by Product Manager Jessica Duvall, a student affairs professional for 10 years, was given the opportunity to share our vision for Engage’s future at Anthology Together in Nashville, Tennessee. Presentations like these, or roadmaps, are shared twice a year by the Engage team, allowing us to both keep our clients in the loop and keep us agile and responsive. Engage presentations are typically met with questions and interest but never the degree of enthusiasm that we saw in Nashville. What was the cause for such excitement?

Over the last five years, we have experienced a lot of change, from multiple mergers to a global pandemic. Through our time as a leader in this space, we have learned that the way to best weather the proverbial storm of change is to hold fast to the anchor of our priorities. We distilled our focus to The Core Four: Values that encapsulate the features, capabilities, and identity of Anthology Engage.

  1. Connect learners to meaningful experiences: Much like our clients, learners are at the center of all we do. At the core of our mission is the belief that every student should have access to transformative experiences. We’ve worked tirelessly to facilitate these connections, nurturing personal growth and fostering a sense of belonging through our platform.
  2. Make the lives of student affairs professionals easier: As a team of former student affairs professionals with a combined 175 years of experience on campus in areas spanning from student activities, housing, and fraternity and sorority life to assessment, DEIB, and more, we are uniquely positioned to understand your experiences best. That’s why we’ve designed Engage to simplify your processes, streamline your workflows, and provide the support you need to excel in your role.
  3. Empower data-informed storytelling: Data is a powerful tool for change that is easily collected through the everyday use of Engage. We strive to make data robust and actionable, allowing institutions to tell compelling stories about their learners’ journeys, successes, and challenges. With data in hand, driving forward with intentionality is possible.
  4. Inspire collaboration across campus: The future of higher education depends on the dismantling of silos. Anthology Engage serves as a central environment for interdepartmental cooperation, encouraging investment in a more holistic approach to student success.

Many longtime clients recognized this clarification of our vision as a return to our roots, and the response to it, both in person and virtually, has been overwhelming. Take a look at some of the feedback:

“This looks like an excellent update to [Finance]. I have used the budget tools for a long time because they have been well rounded.”

“YES, organization forms!”

“Love less clicks to get there and more reminders about unsubmitted things!”

“WHAT. A. WEEK!!! #AT23 was such an amazing experience filled with new connections, amazing sessions, and exciting opportunities to come with the Engage product.”

“We LOVE this feature [QR codes for forms].”

“I NEED THIS.”

We have been releasing integrations both within our own Anthology ecosystem, with a new integration between Engage and Anthology® Student, and with key partners like our recent enhancement to the mobile experience through Navengage. In keeping with our Core Four vision, the developers have directed their attention to some of the primary areas of the site to drive these initiatives forward. A couple recently released highlights:

  1. QR codes for forms: Users can now generate a QR code that provides a direct link to a specific form’s URL, making it easier than ever to collect responses. The QR code can be added to any media, such as a presentation, or sent directly to the primary contacts of organizations. As the first feature that we moved from the user-submitted Idea Exchange to live in product, we were thrilled with the response to this step toward making the lives of student affairs professionals (and student leaders) easier.
  2. Redesign of the Organization Management homepage: As an area that organization leaders come back to again and again, this update has had a big impact on learners. Streamlining and centralizing the tasks that are required of organization leaders with dynamic notifications, reminders of incomplete actions, and a new events widget have improved our ability to connect learners to meaningful experiences.

If you missed the webinar, you can still check out the roadmap.

In much the same way that the progress at your institution is propelled by your learners, our momentum is stoked by the investment of our client community. We are celebrating a year since rolling out the Ideas Exchange, allowing our clients to not only submit their ideas but also to vote on each other’s ideas (the aforementioned new releases each received over 50 votes from users). Additionally, we have announced the Anthology Engage Community, our online organization for Engage administrators. Join today to stay in the loop on Engage news, be the first to hear about events, and participate in discussions with your peers and members of the Anthology team.

So, thank you to all our clients for your enthusiasm, involvement, and ideas. We are excited for what’s on the horizon and grateful to be your experienced team of former student affairs professionals with eyes on tomorrow and a heart for our learners.
