Inspiration And Efficiency For Instructors: AI Design Assistant Is Now Live In Blackboard Learn Ultra

As announced at our annual Anthology Together conference in July, Blackboard Learn Ultra is the first major LMS to provide generative AI features to inspire instructors’ course structures, tests, and rubrics. The AI Design Assistant is now live, and available to all Ultra institutions as part of their standard license.
Among the six initial features that form the AI Design Assistant, instructors can now leverage generative AI to:

Crucial to our product development approach around AI is our partnership with Microsoft. The AI Design Assistant Leverages the Azure OpenAI service, and we are working closely with the Microsoft team to explore further possibilities to include AI within Blackboard Learn and our other EdTech solutions.
At all steps in the process, we are guided by the principles in the Anthology Trustworthy AI Approach, which is available publicly to ensure our global learning community have full visibility into how we are approaching AI as a company.
