But once that content is placed in a course, the standard has traditionally gone silent. Links age, materials drift out of sync, and when a tool retires content or a publisher releases a new edition, the LMS doesn’t know until something breaks.
The 1EdTech LTI Link and Content Service, and the Platform Notification Service, are designed to close that gap. Together, they provide a standards-based channel for tools to inspect, update, and manage content they’ve placed on a platform, and for platforms to notify tools when something course-side has changed.
